The Real McCoy

A biography of the Canadian-born black inventor, the son of escaped slaves who patented more than 50 inventions. Elijah McCoy studied engineering in Scotland but was prevented him from getting a job that suited his talents in the U.S. due to racism. While working for the Michigan Central Railroads, he invented the automatic oil cup which prevented trains from having to stop for frequent lubrications.
